Hail to the sleet

These two pictures (above and below) were taken last Saturday, at about 8 am. I thought it was pretty nifty then, but there was more to come.

This was later, at 10 am.
Poor plants!

And drivers!!!

That's my middle brother Graham (aka G-man)
beginning work on an ice mountain ...
... which lasted for a couple of days before it melted away.

It's so easy to forget that some people are in mittens at this time of year, but these images certainly bring the chilling facts alive! Brrrr!

oh my goodness! A gentle reminder that our winter isn't that far away either.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I got my surprise package the other day and I love my gifts, just adore them! I wasn't expecting that, so it was doubly special. I love the corsage pin it's like a warm fuzzy in brooch form :-) I'm going to try the Anzac biccys in the next couple of days (when it says 'flour', I'm assuming it's 'plain' flour?). We did make Anzac biscuits before sometime, but I can't remember what they were like so I'm keen to try the recipt you sent. I'll let you know...

Keep warm and snug, dear friend xxxx
- nice ice mountain G-Man!
