I created my first hat this week. I'd gotten a bit tired of using other people's patterns and I'd been wanting to make something by myself. So I got some stitch pattern books from the library (I love that place!), got out some wool and a crochet hook and got to work. I found a medallion pattern that I really liked and worked it up. Then I had to think about how to shape the hat and started experimenting. I had to undo my work a couple of times (quite substantially, too!) but finally I had done it - MY very own hat. I am so chuffed with it, I can hardly wait till the weather gets a bit cooler so I can wear it!!!
Oh, and I have a commission to make one for a friend. Well done me!
