This is the back of my house, the brick is so lovely and warm in the sunshine. The first set of windows is the lounge - sunshine streams in there making it cosy in the winter but a little too warm in the summer. Solution: pull the curtains closed. The other windows are my room.

This is half the yard, the prettier half! From where I took this picture, there is only the boundary fence behind me, so you're not missing anything. My little shed is full of junk and gardening gear, it really needs a good clear out.

Close-up of the pink tree, a Virgilia. It's flowering so profusely the branches have drooped very attractively. There will be a carpet of pink on the ground soon.

Part of my tiny vegetable patch - my pretend garden. Although I'm not an outdoorsey girl, I have a potter in my patch now and then. I've grown a few things here - lettuce, tomatoes, rainbow chard, golden zucchini, butter beans, shallots, garlic, broccoli, parsley, rosemary, strawberries, raspberries (that's what is in the middle of the shot). It
is deeply satisfying to use the produce I grow, I just don't have the passion to keep it up.

Scotty made it into the previous shot, so here's Raro. Whenever I'm outside - hanging out washing, watering, digging, picking - one or other of the cats will come to visit and be nosey! Raro quite often acts like she hasn't seen me for ages, even if it really was just a few moments ago. She's so sweet. She's more camera shy than Scotty - he seems to turn up whenever the camera is out
AND he will 'pose'. Raro just turns away. Ah well, I still love her anyway.

Wow, Australia sure is beautiful!
(Wil saying that jokingly cause he knows how the Kiwis hate when people mistake them for Aussies.)
Ok, that was the best I could come up with, LOL.

Hi Diane, your garden is so neat and tidy - mine is like a bomb site! It looks lovely and I like your little veggie patch.
Thanks for your comments on the blog by the way, I am soooooo glad to be back in good spirits. xx
Hi, I found you through ChickenBlog. My brother and family live in Auckland, but they don't write a blog, so yours will be a kind of connection to them. I don't knit, do you post recipes? G'day!
