Finnish Ed (thanks Shakespeare)

This is the pink scarf I have been crocheting. The stitch doesn't have a name in the pattern book but it looks like stars or flowers, marguerites or asters maybe. I'm rather pleased with it but happy it is finished. I found some black homespun wool on Trade Me , which is our very own online auction, for my hat project. It should arrive in the next few days and I'm excited about that.
I had my sister measure up her two scalliwags for me and I think I will make something for them next. I think I might knit for the children as my crochet buzz is wearing off slightly. Yup, that's right, I knit too, that's why my blog is called The sound of one hand knitting.

Sorry Su, the Shakespeare reference was a bit obtuse! I was going to say that no, there is no end to my talents, but then I reined my ego in and reconsidered. I do manage pretty good at most things I have a go at but now and then come up against something I can't handle. Jewellery making, for example. Way too fiddly (although with some specialised tools ...). Stuffing canneloni is another. Hair - ponytails, plaits, chignons, clips - eeeerrrggghhh!
